Bogota for Life
Walk and Bike for Life is pleased to announce the event all of you have been waiting for. 'Bogota for Life' is an informative training workshop which will demonstrate how Bogota converted itself into a place aimed to serve pedestrians, bikers and mass transit users. From February 3rd - 9th you will be able to participate in numerous events and educational sessions, such as the day without cars, the Transmilenio (mass transportation), the bicycle master plan and the famous 'Ciclovia' on Sunday. A variety of experts will illustrate how operations of these programs and events can be successfully managed, i.e. closing roads, signage, staff setup and much more.

: Car-free day: -How it functions
Fri, Feb 6
: Bikeway system: 200 miles/300 kilometres of physically separated
bikeways. Also, an in-depth examination of the Bicycle Master Plan.
Sat, Feb 7
: Park's and Open Spaces: A visit to various Bogota Parks, giving
participants a good understanding of the Bogota parks system.
Sun, Feb 8
: Ciclovia: The biggest carfree Sunday in the world. +1.5 million people
attend EVERY weekend. Has been hugely successful, and is now used as
a blueprint for carfree Sundays across the world.
